This is a free council-backed service for Cosy Homes households in Lancashire that can help you save money on your electricity bill.
If you already have solar and a battery, we can manage it on your behalf so you get the benefits without needing to do the day-to-day work yourself.

If you join and are eligible, you'll get a free service that helps your battery and solar work better for you.
You’ll save at least £100 per year on average by using your battery and solar in a smarter way.
The service is completely free, just like your original solar and battery installation.
You can withdraw at any time, no questions asked.
You’ll be part of a Lancashire-wide community energy project designed to help more households benefit over time.
It takes a couple of minutes to register, and after that we do the heavy lifting.

Not necessarily. You can take part with your existing supplier. However, the type of tariff you are on can affect how much you save, and you will need to be on a time-of-use tariff to take part.
Yes. We will review your current setup and make sure the system works in a way that still delivers value alongside your existing tariff.
No. You will continue to receive your energy bill from your current supplier as normal. We do not replace your supplier.
Your main benefit will be reduced energy bills through smarter use of electricity. Any additional income from providing services to the electricity grid will be used to support the wider community and help develop the project.
You won’t receive direct payments. Instead, the financial benefit comes through lower bills. In the future, there may be options for sharing additional revenues more directly.
Yes. Participation is voluntary, and you are free to leave at any time.
Our modelling shows that bills should go down overall by at least £100 a year for an average household. If for any reason your bills increase and you are not satisfied, you can choose to leave the scheme.
No. The system is designed to run automatically using smart software. It will charge and discharge at the best times without you needing to actively manage it.
